Today Facebook made dramatic changes to it’s sponsored (paid) ads that will affect how to use Facebook ads. As if the new Timeline wasn’t enough, true to form, Facebook once again stirs things up with more changes; this time to how to use Facebook Ads.
Here are some of the highlights to how to use facebook ad changes:
- There’s a change when open the page; more of a step-by-step approach rather than showing you the whole system at one time.
- The number of characters you can use to create ads is reduced from 135 to 90.
- New guidelines for how you select CPC or CPM: this is BIG!
- Even bigger is the new minimum charges for ads: $10/day or $100 lifetime

If you’re confused by all the changes, it seems Facebook is trying to get business Timeline users to start using paid ads and are upping the price to do so. Remember they took away our “default landing tab”. Well that feature IS available if you use the paid ads.
The move to change how we use Facebook ads makes sense when you consider that’s how they make their money. You didn’t think Facebook was a benevolent friend did you?
“Like” it or not (pun intended) the change is here so you’ll have to learn a new way of how to use Facebook ads.
