To get to page one google these days can seem like a daunting task what with Penguin and Panda updates knocking everyone off page one.  But there is an easy and effective way to get to page one google in mere minutes instead of days, weeks or months and I’m about to reveal the secret to you.

Google has introduce these recent algorithm updates to force people to do one thing: ADD RELEVANT CONTENT AND CUT OUT THE SPAM!  If you do that, you’ll get to page one Google in no time right?  Well not quite.  There is a method to adding content you’ll need to learn and some inexpensive WordPress plugins and tools you’ll need to buy to make this work.  But the end result is nothing short of spectacular.

STEP ONE TO GET TO PAGE ONE GOOGLE: Keyword Research

The first step to get to page one Google is do the research to keyword phrases that people are actually searching NOW!  I use a tool called “Keyword XP”.  This tool shows you the terms being searched right now in Google and will tell you how many searches, and rate the competition for you.  It even gives you a green check mark for those you could easily rank for.  Choose the HIGHEST number for searches with the lowest competition for Title and URL.

STEP TWO TO GET TO PAGE ONE GOOGLE: Write a 400-500 word article using the keyword

First make sure you have Easy WP SEO installed on your WordPress site.  This tool tells you what is missing from your article that will keep it from ranking well.  When everything is done correctly, it gives you a score and turns green to let you know it’s ready to publish.  Here are the things every good article HAS to have:

• Keyword in the Title with up to 66 characters
• Keyword used as H1, H2, and H3 header
• Keyword as anchor text linking out to something off site and in to one of your other pages
• It’s good to underline, bold and italicize your keyword at least once
• Keyword should be about 2% but no more than 4% of the content
• Make sure you have a relevant picture with the keyword as the alt text
• I also use this image as the “featured image” in WP so it shows up in other posts: Facebook, LinkedIn, bookmarking etc
• Keyword in the last sentence
• Make sure you have “All One SEO” WP plugin installed and add your keyword title, keyword 2xs in description at beginning and end and add keyword to meta tag.

When you think you’re article is ready, just hit save as draft and check Easy WP SEO to see what you missed or if you have a high score and the green signal it’s ready.  Tweak as suggested.

STEP 3 IS THE SECRET SAUCE TO GET TO PAGE ONE GOOGLE: VERY IMPORTANT!

Make sure you have “Rapid Indexer” Plugin installed on your WordPress site.  You can follow the link to read what it does exactly in a nutshell this plugin “pings” your post to Google and other sites immediately after launch and screams, “I WANT TO GET TO PAGE ONE GOOGLE NOW!” And somehow Google complies.  DON’T SKIP THIS STEP!  I’ve done everything but  this and I don’t get the same results.  “Rapid Indexer”, in my opinion IS the key to get to page one Google.

Now you’re ready to publish.  Once published, go ahead and bookmark your article to all the relevant sites include Article directories like EZines, Article Street etc and don’t for Social Media like Facebook & LInkedIn, “pin” your image to Pinterest, and turn you article into a Powerpoint video for YouTube.

Once that’s done, put you keyword in the Google search box with “” around it for exact match and, if you followed all my advice, you’ll see your article did get to page one Google and is probably number one on the page.  Now all those search results you showed will funneled to your page because you did GET TO PAGE ONE GOOGLE!
